Mom-Mom'S Stuffed Cabbage

  1. Core cabbage and break off into leaves.
  2. Cook leaves in microwave in a small amount of water for 5 minutes to soften. Season ground beef well with salt and pepper.
  3. Add egg, 1/2 cup bread crumbs and grated onion.
  4. Lay out cabbage leaves, and stuff each leaf with ground beef.
  5. Roll up leaves; secure with toothpicks if necessary.
  6. Cut up remainder of cabbage and put into the bottom of a big pot.
  7. Place cabbage rolls on top.
  8. Add the tomato sauce, bay leaf, cranberry sauce, brown sugar, white raisins and a pinch of sweet-n-sour salts.
  9. Serve with rice.
  10. Delicious!
