Faye'S Pecan Pie

  1. 1. Combine syrup, brown sugar, margarine, and salt in a sauce pan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has melted and the mixture is well blended.
  2. 2. Remove from heat and allow to cool somewhat.
  3. 3. Beat the eggs together in a bowl and then add them to the sauce pan.
  4. 4. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  5. 5. Pour this mixture into the pie crust. Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning.
  6. 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 375u0b0F.
  7. 7. Carefully remove from the oven and arrange pecan halves over the entire surface of the pie.
  8. 8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes at 375u0b0F until a knife inserted halfway between the center and edge of the pie comes out clean.
