Faye'S Pecan Pie
- 1 Cup Dark Karo(R) Syrup
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1/2 Stick Margarine
- 1/8 Tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Chopped Pecans
- 1/2 Cup Whole Pecan Halves
- 1 9" Premade Pie Crust (unbaked)
- Preheat Oven to: 375 Degrees Fahrenheit
- 1. Combine syrup, brown sugar, margarine, and salt in a sauce pan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar has melted and the mixture is well blended.
- 2. Remove from heat and allow to cool somewhat.
- 3. Beat the eggs together in a bowl and then add them to the sauce pan.
- 4. Stir in the chopped pecans.
- 5. Pour this mixture into the pie crust. Cover the edges of the pie crust with aluminum foil to prevent them from burning.
- 6. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 375u0b0F.
- 7. Carefully remove from the oven and arrange pecan halves over the entire surface of the pie.
- 8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes at 375u0b0F until a knife inserted halfway between the center and edge of the pie comes out clean.
