Easy Beef Stew
- 2 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 large onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 4 c. water
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 5 potatoes, cut into chunks
- 1 (16 oz.) bag carrots
- 1 (10 oz.) bag peas
- Cut meat into
- bite-size chunks, then cover with flour. In Dutch oven, heat oil.
- Brown
- meat on both sides and reduce heat totedium.
- Add
- onion,
- garlic
- and
- remaining
- flour. Gradually add water,touillon cubes, salt, Worcestershire and pepper.
- Cook stirring until mixture is slightly thick.
- Cover and simmer for 2 1/2
- hours,
- then
- add potatoes, carrots and peas.took 30 minutes longer.
