Mystical Chocolate Bars
- 3/4 C butter (1.5 cubes)
- 2 ozs. unsweetened baking chocolate squares
- 1/2 C granulated sugar
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla or Kahlua
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Melt the butter with the unsweetened baking chocolate squares using a double boiler.
- When melted, pour into a mixing bowl, and add the granulated sugar and the brown sugar.
- Mix well; add the eggs and vanilla or Kahlua.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and mix well.
- Pour batter into an ungreased 9 x 12 baking pan (I use a Pyrex pan).
- Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan, and cut into bars.
- Enjoy!
