Summer Light Cilantro Chicken

  1. 1. Mix the ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, red chili powder with the yogurt and pour over the chicken.
  2. 2. Leave the chicken and marinade in the fridge for 2 hours.
  3. 3. Chop the onion.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a deep saucepan.
  5. 5. Add the chopped onions and lightly saute till they look translucent.
  6. 6. Add the chicken and the yogurt marinade and mix well.
  7. 7. Cover and cook on low heat for 25 mins or until the liquid separates. Mix occasionally.
  8. 8. Add the salt, lemon juice, cilantro and green chili and cook on a very low flame for about 5 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately with rice
  10. or just have it on its own. Its deliciously light and full of flavor.
