Mom'S Dilly Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast in water and let stand 10 minutes. In a sauce pan combine butter, cottage cheese, dill seed, salt, soda, onion and sugar.
  2. Combine yeast mixture and cottage cheese mixture into a mixing bowl. Add flour and combine until well mixed. Dough should hold together well but still be sticky.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place until double. Punch down. Place dough into a 9x5 well-greased bread pan. Let rise until dough reaches the top of the bread pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. After baking brush top of loaf with butter.
