Pasta Pizza
- 2 c. spiral macaroni
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 medium pepper, cut into strips
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Italian style tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella
- Cook pasta and drain.
- For pasta crust, in a large bowl, combine egg, milk and Parmesan cheese.
- Stir in pasta.
- Spread pasta mixture evenly in a greased 12-inch pizza pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
- In large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown.
- Drain fat.
- Add pepper, undrained tomatoes and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 10 to 12 minutes until most of liquid evaporates.
- Stir in mushrooms.
- Spoon meat mixture over pasta crust.
- Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes more or until cheese is melted.
- Cut into wedges.
- Makes 6 servings.
