Texas Style Chili

  1. In large kettle or Dutch oven, brown meat (if using beef, pour off fat).
  2. Add onion, pepper and garlic; cook and stir until tender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 1 1/2 hours (1 hour for ground beef) or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve with corn chips and sweet pepper salsa.
