Victorian Epicure'S Famous Greek Style Burgers
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 2 tsp (10 ml) VE Greek Seasoning
- 1 tsp (5 ml) each freshly ground Victorian Epicure Sea Salt & Victorian Epicure Pepper
- 1 1/4 lb (575 g) extra-lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) crumbled light Feta cheese
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- Whisk first 6 ingredients in stainless steel bowl.
- Add ground beef, bread crumbs and Feta cheese, mixing gently to combine.
- With water-moistened hands, form the mixture into 4 3/4" (2cm) patties.
- Grill or pan fry. To pan-fry, heat olive oil in frying pan over medium high heat.
- Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side.
- Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and tzaziki.
