Coconut-Cream Cheese Pound Cake
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- Preheat oven to
- 325u0b0.trease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Cream
- thetutter, shortening and cream cheese together in large bowl.
- Gradually
- add sugar, beating at medium speed, until light and fluffy.
- Stir in coconut flavoring and vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour,
- salt
- and
- baking powder and add to the butter. Stir
- just until blended.
- Fold in coconut.
- Pour the batter into prepared
- tube
- pan.
- Baketor an hour and 15 minutes or until tester
- comes
- outtlean.temovetake and allow to cool.
