Green Chile Piñon Meatballs

- t pound ground beef
- t T. brown sugar
- t/4 C. raisins, finely chopped
- t/4 C. pinon nuts
- t/4 C. onion, finely minced
- t t. allspice
- t/4 t. salt
- t/2 C. green chile, finely chopped
- tlour for dredging
- til for frying
- Sweet green chile sauce
- t/2 C. green chile, finely chopped
- t T. brown sugar
- t/4 t. salt
- Instructions
- 1.tombine meat, sugar, raisins, pinon, onion, chile, allspice and salt in medium bowl.
- 2.tix thoroughly with your hands, and form into 1-inch balls (about 1 T. each).
- 3.toll each meatball in flour.
- 4.teat enough oil (I used canola) to cover the bottom of a large skillet, on medium-high flame. Fry meatballs in batches, 1-2 minutes on each side, until browned. Drain on paper towels.
- 5.tix green chile, sugar and salt to make a sauce to serve with meatballs.
