Extra Easy Lasagna
- 1 (28 oz.) can Italian-style tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 (16 oz.) carton cream-style large curd cottage cheese
- 4 c. uncooked medium noodles
- 8 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Puree tomatoes with tomato paste in blender until smooth. Stir in parsley, oregano and basil; set aside.
- Break up sausage. Add onion and garlic in skillet.
- Cook well browned.
- Pour off fat.
- Stir 1/2 spaghetti sauce mix into sausage mixture.
- Spoon sausage mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish.
- Spoon cottage cheese evenly over sausage.
- Arrange noodles on top. Sprinkle noodles with remaining spaghetti mix.
- Pour tomato mixture over noodles.
- Press down until moistened.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour or until noodles are tender. Remove foil.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 5 minutes more.
