Hot Fruit Compote

  1. One day before the holiday dinner, drain fruit and dry - crumble Macaroons -
  2. but leave in small pieces covered with a paper towel
  3. On the day of serving slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice, mix all of the fruit together and layer all of the mixed fruit, half and half macaroons (2 quart) sprinkle the top of each layer with brown sugar, almonds and then bat with butter. Repeat
  4. Put the liquid on the fruit before baking.
  5. Bake at 300 degrees
  6. 20 to 30 minutes
