Apple Pie

  1. Crust (makes 2 pies)
  2. Add egg and 2T Vinegar plus enough H2O to make 1c liquid. Beat with fork.
  3. Place lard in large mixing bowl. Add flour and salt and lastly egg mixture. Blend with pastry blender.
  4. Filling
  5. Peel apple and slice thin. Combine sugar, flour, spices, and salt. Mix with apples.
  6. Line 9" pie tin with pastry. Fill with apple mixture. Dot with butter. Apply top crust.
  7. Bake at 400 deg for 50 min. Put a pizza pan under to catch boil over.
