Five Flavor Pound Cake With Glaze

  1. Beat butter and shortening at medium speed about 2 minutes or until creamy.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
  6. Mix at low speed just until blended after each addition. Stir in flavorings.
  7. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  8. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and place on wire rack.
  10. Spoon glaze over cake while warm.
