Luxury Hot Dog
- 1 Brat, could be a German brat, a Johnsonville brat, whatever you like
- 1 Brat Bun, If you can't find these a wider bun than a standard hot dog bun is crucial
- Equal Parts of finely chopped sweet onion, I use vidalia, tomato, pickles, and mushrooms. I usually use about 1-2 tbsp chopped of each
- Good Mustard, I use Guilden's spicy brown
- Some kind of salted cured meat, some times I use cappicola, sometimes prosciutto, anything you like about 2 slices
- 1 Slice cheese, any kind you like.
- Heat a pan to medium heat and start with the onions, season them with salt and pepper, then add your brat, your onions will get done before your brat, once they are done put them into the bun, and add about half of your finely chopped cheese, add your mushrooms to the pan, and season with salt and pepper. Once the mushrooms are done place on top of the onions and cheese in the bun, by now your brat should be done, add this to the bun as well. Place remaining cheese on top of hot brat, then add mustard, then chopped pickles and tomatoes. Enjoy
