Crusty Scalloped Corn

  1. Preheat oven to 200u0b0C.
  2. Combine crumbs and melted margarine. Save 125 ml crumb-margarine mixture for topping.
  3. Press crumbs evenly on sides and bottom of pie pan.
  4. Saute onion and green pepper in margarine.
  5. Blend in flour, salt and sugar.
  6. Slowly add milk; cook and stir until thickened.
  7. Mix in corn and eggs.
  8. Stir well.
  9. Pour corn mixture into crumb crust.
  10. Top with remaining crumbs.
  11. Bake 30 minutes or until a knife inserted (off center) comes out clean.
