Strawberry & Celery Salad With Blue Cheese And Candied Walnuts

  1. Strawberry Vinaigrette
  2. 2 teaspoons strawberry jam
  3. 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  4. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  5. Salt and pepper, to taste
  6. Method:
  7. mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  8. Candied Walnuts
  9. 1 cup walnuts, toasted
  10. 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar
  11. salt and pepper to taste
  12. pinch ground cayenne pepper
  13. Method:
  14. heat sugar over medium heat in a non-stick skillet.
  15. Once you get a caramel color add the hot toasted walnuts and stir
  16. to coat walnuts completely. Season with salt , pepper and a pinch
  17. of cayenne. Pour on a large plate or baking sheet to cool. Once
  18. cooled give them a rough chop.
