Steak Parmigiana
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in 6 serving pieces
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 c. hot water
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, diced
- 1 pkg. egg noodles, cooked
- Combine flour
- and
- cheese,
- then in separate bowl, dip steak in egg
- and
- coat with flour mixture.
- Brown in hot oil. Place in shallow
- baking
- dish.
- Saute
- onion in oil and then stir in tomato paste,
- garlic, salt, pepper and water.
- Simmer 10 minutes. Pour sauce
- over
- steak
- and
- top with Mozzarella cheese slices. Bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.terve over noodles.
- Makes 6 servings.
