Mango Sweet And Hot Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of canola oil
- 1 small onion - diced
- 2 cloves of garlic - smashed and chopped
- 2 or 3 ripe mangos - peeled and pit removed - diced
- 1 hot chili (Ghost, Jalapeno, or any hot chili) - chopped
- 1 orange - peeled and seeds removed - diced
- 2 or 3 tablespoons of honey
- 3/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add the mango, orange, chili, and 1 cup of water. Simmer and stir for about 10 minutes. Add the honey and vinegars and cook until the sauce thickens - 10 to 15 minutes.
- Using a hand blender or any blender blend until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve. Season with a little salt to taste.
