Cheesy Beef-Stuffed Peppers
- 3 large green peppers, cut in half lengthwise
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. creamed cottage cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shredded process American cheese
- Place peppers in 2-quart (12 x 7-inch) glass baking dish; set aside.
- Combine remaining ingredients, except shredded cheese, in medium bowl; mix well.
- Spoon meat mixture into green pepper halves.
- Cover with wax paper.
- Microwave for 24 to 26 minutes on Roast, or until meat is well done (about 140u0b0).
- Top with shredded cheese and continue cooking on Roast until cheese is melted. Makes about 6 servings.
