Low-Calorie Apple Strudel
- 4 med. cooking apples, peeled, cored, sliced thin
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 12 sheets frozen phyllo dough (17x12), thawed
- 3/4 c. butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Sprinkle juice over apples. Working on waxed paper, lightly brush one sheet phyllo with melted butter. Keep rest of phyllo dough covered with damp towel. Repeat with 5 more, stacking.
- Place 1/2 of the apples in 2-inch strip along one long edge, leaving 2 inches at each short end. Sprinkle with combination of sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon, using half of mixture. Fold in end 2-inches of short sides and roll tightly from long side. Place seam side down on greased 15x10x1 jelly roll pan.
- Repeat to make a second roll. Brush with butter. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool slightly. Loosen from pan; cool in pan on wire rack. Slice.
