Stuffing (Murphy'S Famous Stuffing)
- 1 1/2 bags of Pepperidge Farm or Brownsberry Seasoned Croutons
- 1 box of Uncle Ben's wild rice mix, cooked
- 2 eggs
- 1 lg. chopped onion
- 1 bunch of celery
- 1 can of sliced or slightly chopped waterchestnuts
- 1 lb Jimmy Dean pork sausage
- 1/2 t. black pepper
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1/4 lb real butter
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1. Soak the croutons in chicken broth
- 2. Saute the pork sausage and remove from heat
- 3. Saute onion in the butter
- 4. Mince and add garlic to that mixture.
- 5. Add that mixture to the sausage
- 6. Chop and add celery to the saute
- 7. Add the waterchestnuts to the mixture
- 8. Then add eggs and cooked rice
- 9. Combine with croutons and chicken broth.
- For added flavor, this could be made in a pan lined with butter soaked cheese cloth.
- 10. Cook 45 min at 350
