Mom'S Three-Bean Salad
- 1 Can Cut Green Beans
- 1 Can Cut Wax Beans
- 1 Can Kidney Beans
- 1 Green Bell Pepper Cut into strips other color peppers can be substituted.
- 1/2 Cup Onion - Red Onion Recommended for Color
- Dressing:
- 1 1/2 Cup White Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 1/4 to 1/2 Teaspoon ground Black Pepper (Or to taste)
- Drain both the Green and Wax beans and add them to your bowl.
- Drain and rinse the kidney beans before adding them as well.
- Add both the Onion and pepper strips.
- In a saucepan bring all the ingredients for the dressing to a boil, stirring as necessary until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and let cool slightly before pouring over the bean mixture.
- Stir to make sure everything is well coated and let sit in the fridge for 24 hours before serving.
