Sweet Sour Pork

  1. Drain pineapple for juice and set aside.
  2. Brown pork in hot fat, cover with water, simmer 45 to 60 minutes.
  3. In separate pan, combine cornstarch, salt, sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice and soy sauce.
  4. Cook until thick stirring constantly.
  5. Pour over hot pork. Let stand at least 10 minutes.
  6. Add bell pepper, onion and pineapple chunks.
  7. Heat 2 or 3 minutes.
  8. Excellent over plain rice. Sauce may be used on other meats.
