Creamy Chocolate Nut Bars
- Crust and Topping
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- pinch salt
- 1 cup walnuts
- Filling
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- For the crust and topping, mix together butter,sugar, flour and salt until well blended. Measure out 1 cup and put in small bowl. Place the rest in a 9x13 pan and pat out until evenly smooth. Bake at 350 until lightly brown, about 20 minutes.
- Add the walnuts to the reserved crust mixture for the topping.
- For the filling, place chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in glass bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes. Stir mixture until smooth and then add vanilla. Pour filling over the hot crust. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the filling.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until topping is a golden brown.
- Cut into bars.
