Lasagna
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. hot salad oil
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 3 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. rosemary
- 3/4 tsp. chili powder
- 3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 2 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1 1/2 c. Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Saute onion and garlic in hot oil.
- Add ground beef to crumble; cook until lightly browned.
- Add tomato paste and water, mixing well.
- Simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
- Cook noodles and drain. Spoon 1/3 of sauce into 13 1/2 x 8 3/4 x 1 3/4-inch baking dish. Add half noodles and half of Ricotta.
- Repeat layers and spoon on remaining sauce.
- Arrange Mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Serves 8 to 12.
