Easy Rum Cake

  1. Grease and flour bundt or tube pan. Preheat oven to 325*F.
  2. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.
  3. Mix all remaining cake ingredients together. Pour batter over nuts.
  4. Bake at 325*F for 1 hour. Cool. Invert on serving plate.
  5. Prick top of cake. Drizzle and smooth glaze evenly over to and sides,
  6. Repeat until glaze is used up.
  7. For Glaze: melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in rum.
