Apricot Bars

  1. Rinse apricots.
  2. Cover with water and boil 10 minutes.
  3. Drain, cool and chop apricots.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Mix butter, sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly.
  6. Pack into greased pan.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes at 350u0b0.
  8. Sift 1/3 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
  9. Beat eggs; add brown sugar.
  10. Beat until well mixed.
  11. Add flour mixture, vanilla and nuts.
  12. Add apricots to egg-sugar mixture.
  13. Spread over baked layer.
  14. Bake for 30 minutes; cool in pan.
  15. Cut into squares and roll in confectioners sugar.
