Maple Peanut Butter Cookies

  1. Blend together the peanut butter and shortening; beat in the brown sugar and maple syrup.
  2. Add egg and beat well.
  3. Sift flour with baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add the first mixture, beating thoroughly.
  5. Turn out on floured board and divide in half. Shape each half into a roll about 2-inches in diameter.
  6. Wrap well in waxed paper and chill overnight.
  7. Cut in 1/4-inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350u0b0 oven for about 12 minutes or until brown.
  8. Makes about 4 dozen.
