Fruitcake Cookies

  1. Cream the sugar and butter. Add the eggs.Mix sifted dry ingredients. Sift 3/4 cup of dry ingredients over fruit & nuts to coat. Mix vanilla, fruit and remaining dry ingredients in with the creamed mixture. Add soda dissolved in warm water. Drop by teaspoonsful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
