Strawberry Dessert
- 1 angel food cake
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 (8 oz.) cartons nondairy whipped topping
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 pkg. strawberry glaze
- 14 Oreo cookies
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 egg
- few drops almond flavoring
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- Crush Oreos.
- Line 9-inch pie pan or an 8-inch square pan with most of crushed cookies (save some for topping).
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg.
- Cream again.
- Add almond flavoring.
- Spread this mixture on crumbs.
- Whip cream with sugar.
- Add vanilla and chopped pecans.
- Fold until well blended.
- Spread this on first mixture.
- Cover with crushed wafers.
- Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
