Karen'S Chocolate Sheet Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 each eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 stick margarine
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 package confectioner's sugar
- 1 cup walnuts -- chopped
- Grease and flour jelly roll pan. Preheat oven to 400*F.
- Mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in large mixing bowl.
- In saucepan, bring to a boil 1 stick margarine, oil, 1/4 cup cocoa and water. Pour over flour mixture.
- Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and baking soda. Beat well.
- Pour into prepared pan and bake at 400*F for 20 minutes.
- In saucepan, bring to a boil 1 stick margarine, 4 Tbsp cocoa, milk, and vanilla. Pour over confectioner's sugar and nuts. Mix well and pour over hot cake and spread.
