Quaker Chocolate Oat-Chip Cookies
- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. Quaker oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)
- 12 oz. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.
- Add flour, salt and baking soda; mix well.
- Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts; mix well. Drop by round measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie.
- For a crispier cookie, bake 12 to 13 minutes.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack and cool completely.
