Bean And Beef Barbecue Bake
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/8 c. diced green pepper
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. diced celery
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (No. 2) can pork and beans
- 2 Tbsp. wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. parsley
- 1/4 tsp. cumin
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Cook ground beef and vegetables until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.
- Add tomato sauce, water, garlic, vinegar, mustard, thyme, parsley, cumin, brown sugar and seasoning.
- Blend well and simmer 5 minutes.
- Pour beans into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Pour meat mixture over them.
- Do not stir.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 45 minutes.
