Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake
- 1 pkg yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 8 Tb butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 15 oz can pumpkin
- 3 eggs
- 8 Tb butter, melted
- 1 16 oz box powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- fresh whipped cream or cool whip
- Combine cake mix, egg and 8 Tb butter with electric mixer. Pat mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 x 9 baking pan.
- In a large bowl beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla and butter and beat together. Add the powdered sugar and spices. Mix well and spread over cake batter. Bake at 350* 40-5- minutes, bring careful not to overbake. Should be gooey.
- For peanut butter gooey cake:Use chocolate cake mix. Replace pumpkin with 1 cup creamy peanut butter.
