Family Favorite Lasagna
- 9 pieces lasagna noodles
- 2 cups cottage cheese, skim or 2%
- 2 cups shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
- 1 l egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- In a large pot of boiling water, cook lasagna noodles for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender but firm. Drain and rinse under cold water; drain well.
- combine cottage cheese, mozzarella, egg and half the parmesan.
- cover bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking dish sparingly with some of the meat sauce; top with a layer of lasagna noodles.
- Cover with half the cheese mixture. Repeat with remaining sauce, noodles and cheeses to make 3 layers of each, then a final layer of the sauce. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350F oven for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
