Dry Rub Baby Back Ribs With Tangy Barbeque Sauce
- Ribs/Rub
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 tablespoon cumin powder
- Barbeque Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 Cup yellow onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic diced
- 1 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tabasco
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- Ribs/Rub
- Combine all of the dry ingredients and mix well. Coat the front and the back of the ribs with the rub and let sit, covered at room temperature for 1/2 hour.
- Preheat grill to high - 450 degrees.
- Put the ribs on the grill bone side down and immediately lower the heat so the temperature is 250 degrees. Cook the ribs with the lid closed for 1 hour, turning once for the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. After an hour on the grill, put the ribs in the oven for one hour.
- Barbeque Sauce
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil and add diced onions and garlic. Cook until transparent.
- Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
