Hillbilly Fruit Cake

  1. Dredge cut up fruit with 1/2 cup flour.
  2. Mix cake mix as directed; add extracts.
  3. Beat 2 minutes with beater on medium speed.
  4. Add 1 egg at a time; beat 2 minutes longer.
  5. Spread evenly on 2 wax paper covered and oiled bread pans or in oiled and wax paper covered angel food pan.
  6. Bake 3 to 3 1/2 hours at 275u0b0 with a shallow pan of water below the cake.
  7. Cool and glaze with hot white corn syrup.
  8. May be decorated with candied cherries or pineapple.
