Talerina
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 4 oz. small noodles
- 1 c. ripe olives, chopped
- 1/2 c. olive liquid
- 1 3/4 c. whole kernel corn
- 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Saute vegetables in oil.
- Add ground beef and brown.
- Add remaining ingredients in layers, saving some cheese and olives to sprinkle on top.
- Make sure noodles are covered with liquid. Cover.
- Bring to a boil.
- Turn to simmer and cook for approximately 30 minutes.
- A 10-inch skillet works well for this. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
