I Wanna Be A Snicker'S Cake
- 1 Box Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake mix
- 40 caramels
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup heavy cream (or milk)
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup chopped peanuts (salted)
- 1 Pint whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar
- Preheat oven to 350'F. Prepare cake according to directions on box. Spray a 13x9 glass pan with cooking spray. Pour half the better into pan, bake for 20 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let cake cool while you prepare the caramel mixture.
- In a double boiler, melt the 40 caramels with the butter and cream/or milk. Stir until creamy. Pour over (slightly warm)cake.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped peanuts over caramel mixture. Pour remaining cake batter over the top and bake for 25 more minutes.
- Let cake cool completely before serving.
- Whipping cream:
- Whip to a stiff peak, adding sugar and vanilla about 1/2 way through the whipping.
- Serve cake with a generous dollop of whipping cream.
