Creamy Garlic Prawns
- 300 mL whipping cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cornflour
- 5 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 bunch chives, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon chicken stock powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
- 1 kg prawns, shelled with tails left on
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- 1 teaspoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Combine first seven ingredients and set aside, preferably the day before needed.
- Mix garlic and cornflour with 1/2 the oil.
- Heat the remaining oil, toss in the prawns and garlic cornflour mixture and cook until prawns are 3/4 cooked.
- Add cream mixture and cook for 2 minutes or until thick.
- Serve with some good crusty bread.
