Lasagna
- 4 lb. extra lean ground chuck
- 3 large green peppers, chopped
- 3 to 4 batches green onions, chopped
- 1 large jar green olives, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 (15 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (15 oz.) can water
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. basil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 14 lasagna noodles
- 3 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 c. Ricotta cheese
- 3 c. sour cream
- Preheat oven to 300u0b0.
- Crumble ground beef in a large heavy saucepan.
- Cook until just done and then drain well and set aside.
- In same pan, cook onions and green peppers slightly.
- Add meat, olives, garlic, tomato sauce, water, eggs, basil, salt and pepper.
- Simmer while preparing noodles and cheeses.
