Chicago Style Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 lb. Hamburger
- 1 Medium Onion
- 4 tbls. Olive Oil
- 1/2 c. Celery
- 2 Cans of Tomato Paste
- 1 Can Tomato Sauce
- 21/2 c. Tomato Juice
- 1 Medium Lemon
- 1 c. Red Wine
- 1/4 teas. Black Pepper
- 1/4 teas. Ceyenne Pepper
- 1/4 teas. Dry Mustard
- 2 tbls. Chopped Parsley
- 1/2 teas. Salt
- 1/14 teas. Basil
- 1/4 teas. Oregano
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 teas. Fennel Seed
- Saute onions and celery in olive oil until golden brown add hamburger and brown. Drain and add to a large stock pan. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat for 11/2 hours stirring frequently.
