Jennie'S Sloppy Joe Base
- 2 bottles of Heinz chili sauce
- tbls to start, or more mustard (not honey mustard, but any kind you have, yellow or brown or dijon)
- 2 TBLS brown sugar
- tsp worcestershire sauce
- salt pepper
- two dashes of tabasco
- red pepper
- onion.
- tbls cider vinegar
- pepper and onion. caremilze onion.
- set aside
- put in meat, drain fat.
- put veggies back in
- simmer 20 mins with lid on and taste, and adjust
- take lid off and simmer for about an hour
- meat on bun, a little cheese chedder grated, slaw on top.
- toast the bun.
- end up eating with a knife and fork any way.
- some folks say half turkey half meat
- for each pound of meat need one bottle of chile sauce, the proportions above are fro two pounds.
