Chocolate Marbled Pound Cake
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 2 1/4 c. sugar
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. self rising flour
- 3/4 c. of milk
- 1 small can chocolate syrup
- Confectioners sugar for dusting
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolks and vanilla.
- Beat until well blended.
- Alternately add flour an milk to batter a little at a time until blended.
- Beat the egg white until stiff and gently fold them into the batter.
- Take 1/3 of the batter and stir in chocolate syrup.
- Layer batter in tube or bundt pan as follows: Pour 1/2 of white batter into the greased pan.
- Pour in chocolate batter and then pour in remaining white batter.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
- When cool, turn out and dust with confectioners sugar.
