Sautéed Green Beans
- 1 1b. Green Beans (fresh is the best, frozen is ok, do not use canned)
- 8 oz. Bacon
- 1/2 large Green Pepper
- 4 tablespoons of Salsa
- 3 oz (about 5) Green Onions
- white flour
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 3 oz. Cream Cheese
- 2 cloves of diced garlic
- Dice the onions and the pepper
- Pan fry the bacon strips until very brown, remove from the pan and crumble. Do not drain the fat from the skillet.
- Put the diced onions,garlic and pepper into the still hot fat, and fry until brown. Remove the onions and vegetables to the same bowl as the crumbled bacon.
- In a separate pan, warm the white wine and cream cheese until the cheese has melted. Add the garlic, and flour to thicken.
- Steam the green beans for just a few minutes, they should be crispy.
- Combine the bacon/pepper/onion to the white sauce and stir. Add in the salsa.
- Serve the sauce over the green beans.
