Stewed Okra, Corn And Tomatoes

  1. Remove and discard stem ends from okra.
  2. Cut each pod into 4 slices.
  3. Cut kernels from ears of corn.
  4. Peel and slice tomatoes. In a heavy skillet, saute onion in oil.
  5. Remove from skillet. Saute okra until browned.
  6. Add tomatoes, onion, green pepper, all seasonings and water.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  9. Add corn and simmer until tender.
  10. Serves 6.
