Anzac Cookies - Cwa Ver 2
- 1/2cup self-raising flour
- 3/4cup rolled oats (toasted muesli is also good)
- 1/2cup sugar
- 1/2cup dedicated coconut
- Pinch of salt
- 1Tbs boiling water
- 55g butter
- 1dessert spoon golden syrup
- 1/2tsp bicarbonate of soda
- Prehet oven to 180C. Grease baking trays
- Sift flour into a large bowl and mix in oats, sugar, coconut and salt.
- In a saucepan, combine boiling water with the butter and golden syrup. Bring to the boil and add the bicarbonate soda.
- Add liquid to dry ingredients and mix well.
- Place spoonfuls of mixture on prepared trays and flatten with a floured fork (leave room for spreading).
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Remove from the trays before they harden.
