Hot Crab Puffs
- 1/4 lb. soft butter
- 1 (5 oz.) jar softened Kraft Old English spread
- 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- pinch of garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/8 tsp. dill weed
- 1 (6 to 8 oz.) can crabmeat, drained, flaked and picked over to remove membranes and/or shells
- 1 pkg. (6) English muffins, split in half to make 12 halves
- Blend butter, cheese and mayonnaise.
- Add garlic, salt, dill and crab.
- Mix well.
- Split muffins into 12 halves.
- Spread mixture evenly on halves.
- Cut each half into 6 triangles.
- May put on baking sheet and freeze at this point and then put into a plastic bag to use on another day.
- Broil until puffed and golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Serve.
- Can garnish with small shrimp and sprinkle with dill, if desired.
- This is a favorite of everyone I have ever served it to.
